Precision Screw Machining of Steel Adjusting Screws for the Hydraulic Industry
When a client in the hydraulics industry needed several thousand adjusting screws, they turned to Hollander Machine for their screw machining job. With our extensive experience in producing high-quality components, we were easily able to turn, form, and chamfer this part on our Brown & Sharpe screw machine. This precision screw machined part made from 12L14 carbon steel with a machine finish, we pride ourselves on using only 100% U.S. steel. This hydraulic cylinder adjusting screw measured .810″ long and had an outer diameter of .531″ down to .101″. We worked to tolerances as tight as ±.001″ for turning and ±.003″ when using the skive tool. Components underwent dimensional testing before delivery to the customer.
